Its become a big question to many I know ... many who face problems .. for some they are a boon ... Overall , the influence they cause in our life is pretty significant. But still are we able to define and quantify.
Is a friend who stands the test of time and 'bearing' you become a relative ? There is a funny answer .. no .. as per the society ..At the same time some aunty's uncles nephew may become one. Is that not a joke ? But who are really related to you ? Is wife a relative ? Are parents relatives ?? Are unknown uncles and aunties relatives ?
I feel that there should be a new rule that friends should be first set of relatives :) ... and then we should be able to define our relatives. In case people bring only tears then why should they be related to you ?
I have seen many complaining about trouble from relatives and parents ;) ! How would it be to 'block' them ? May be I am going to much into the technical world ... But there should be some mechanism that lets us do this, right ?
So lets think about what relatives should be ...
